St. George Grapefruit & Thyme Spritzer
The herbal notes in the gin complement the thyme syrup and grapefruit so perfectly. You simply must try it with this gin!
2 oz. Simply Grapefruit Juice
1 oz. St. George Botanivore Gin
1 oz. Thyme Simple Syrup (recipe below)
Sparkling Water (to top off, around 1 - 2 oz)
Thyme Simple Syrup:
Combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar and boil to dissolve. Add a bunch of thyme and let steep until it comes to room temperature. Remove the thyme leaves and pour the mixture into a glass container; refrigerate until you’re ready to use.
Combine ½ cup of sugar with the zest of 1 small grapefruit.
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail mixer and shake with ice. Rim a tall thin glass (Highball/Collins glass) with the grapefruit zest/sugar mixture and fill with ice. Strain the mixture into the glass and top off with sparkling water. Garnish with a VERY THIN grapefruit wheel, a thyme sprig a straw & ENJOY!
oh, and MAKE IT PRETTY!!
